A place to share your stories with other people in the LGBTQ+ community while exploring labels and what each one means in a safe place. The definitions without links are ones that we are currently working on. We will continue to add historical and current information to all definitions. Contact us with questions, concerns, or informational corrections/mistakes/comments about anything below.

Exploring LGBTQ+ Labels:

A_____ = Lack of sexual/romantic interest

Bi_____ = Interest in 2 or more genders

When talking to a new person/someone you haven’t talked to in some time, consider using the generic pronouns they/them or asking what their preferred pronouns are.

Normativity Terms:

Queer means that you are not straight, but does not necessarily imply that you are gay. You could be bisexual, asexual, biromatic, or any of the other orientations! Queer refers to the non cisgender heterosexual community of LGBTQ+ individuals.
