Prior to the COVID outbreak, around 2 million children were not in school, compared to the current 7.8 million in the midst of the outbreak.

Over 20 million are without food, with around 10 million in life-threatening danger as a result of hunger and 80% of the population needing humanitarian aid (see our other Yemen post here).

The COVID-19 fatality rate in Yemen is reported to be at around 26.8%.

Bangladesh has 64 districts, 47 of which have no intensive care units. Bangladesh has a total of 1000 (one thousand) ICU beds for its population of 165 million and 88 thousand current cases. Containment measures have cut the number of workers in refugee camps by upwards of 80%.
